Garth Brooks' Long Awaited Album
SEVENS to be Released
on November 25th

    NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Nov. 5, 1997--Today, Jim Fifield (President
and CEO, EMI Music), Ken Berry (President, EMI Recorded Music), Pat
Quigley (President and CEO, CapitolNashville), and Capitol recording 
artist Garth Brooks jointly announced a release date for Brooks' long 
awaited seventh studio album SEVENS. The album, produced by Allen 
Reynolds and engineered by Mark Miller, will be in stores on Tuesday, 
November 25th, containing 14 songs at a list price of $16.98. This 
announcement was made in the new Capitol Records building on Music 
Row. 
    ``I'm proud, I'm excited, I'm nervous, and it feels good to be 
back in the game again,'' said Brooks. 
    The first single, ``Longneck Bottle,'' will be released to country
radio on Friday, November 7th. The song, written by singer/songwriter 
Steve Wariner and Rick Carnes, features Wariner on guitar. Brooks and
Wariner will perform ``Longneck Bottle'' on NBC-TV's ``The Tonight
Show With Jay Leno'' on Friday, November 21st. 
    SEVENS will be released in Canada on November 25th, and in England
and Ireland on December 1st. Release dates in other countries will be
scheduled soon.
